Bellurgan Precision is a long established precision manufacturing company (over 30 years) based in Ireland who is looking to employ an experienced CNC Setter/Programmer for CNC Sliding Head Lathes

The Role:
Experienced programmer setter/operator within a sub-contracting environment, producing multiple components for our customers.
Responsible for the programming / setting and operating as part of a team across our 10 sliding head lathes (Citizen and Tornos Deco machines)
Working with medium to large production batch sizes, good setting skills will needed for fast and accurate set-ups.
The person must have the ability to view existing parts and determine the most cost effective process of manufacture.

Perform the necessary inspection checks and where necessary utilize SPC control key dimensions.
Introduce new techniques and process ideas, to ensure the machines run efficiently at least 90% of the time.
Introduce new components and determine the most cost effective solution for manufacture.

Provide cost estimates for machining, tooling & programming new components when required. Complete Job Package documentation for parts tracking and system needs.  
Achieve component targets for cycle time, quality & run time. Provide on the job training to junior or trainee operators within the area and develop the overall skill level within the area.

Applicant requirements:

Previous CNC Sliding Head Lathe experience is essential (Min 6-8 years)

It is essential to be able program, set & run machines

Good knowledge of Citizen or Tornos Lathes preferred
Skilled in multi bar-feeders preferred
Ability to work from technical drawings essential to set up new components
Experience of working in a production environment to meet deadlines

Hours are 8.00 to 5.00 Mon-Thur and 8.00 to 1.00 Friday

Rate: Depending on skill level and experience

Occasional overtime required.
